Altrincham named Best Place to Live 2018

Altrincham, Cheshire was named The Times 'Best Place to Live in the North West' in 2018, however, a decade previous, it was barely on the map. Following the regeneration of the town centre after years of empty shopping units, as well as the influence of Altrincham Markets over the area, house prices have crept back up and the demand for apartments and office space has increased. Whilst Altrincham has always been home to wealthy families and outstanding grammar schools, it has recently become a centre for new companies and young professionals with only a short commute into Manchester City Centre. Now comes the challenge of developing affordable housing for the incoming masses.
