Brown Street Temporary Site Closure

Following the Prime Minister’s briefing on Monday 23rd March 2020, the decision was taken by CPUK to halt construction work at the Brown Street site in Hale.
Although throughout the week different views have been taken regarding the continuation of construction activities, we are confident the correct decision has been made in order to protect the best interests of our staff, their families, our supply chain, the general public and the NHS.
A skeleton crew practicing safe distancing measures have been on site in the intervening days to secure the site and ensure public safety. At this stage we anticipate the site to remain closed until at least the 13th April 2020, pending further Government guidance.
The Council and Novo would like to place on record its sincere thanks to all members of the Brown Street team for their hard work, diligence and understanding during this unprecedented period.
