PROFILE: BEN FEARNS

Managing director, Novo Property Group

The ascent of Novo Property Group is intertwined with Altrincham town centre's regeneration success story. Led by managing director Ben Fearns, the developer has raised over £40m in investment to date, and now has projects across Greater Manchester and Cheshire.

Now boasting an experienced team, Novo has a current development pipeline of over £75m, with additional business lines in strategic land and asset management.

Fearns says: "Developing an emerging market has been a significant challenge, but also our greatest success. We have been able to influence not only the property market, but progress what is the ‘accepted’ architecture of the area."

At Albert Vaults, the company took on the challenge of developing one of Greater Manchester’s most constrained sites, completing an eight-storey new build adjoining Salford Central Station within less than a metre of Network Rail.

"The year ahead will see our continued diversification within the sector, but remain focused geographically," Fearns adds. "Projects coming forward will continue to shape the local environment, just on a larger scale.
