Role: Development Manager / Project Manager

Description

Novo is a fast-growing, ambitious property development company with an excellent reputation for delivering new homes and workplaces and regenerating urban neighbourhoods.  We are looking to resource an exciting pipeline of projects in and around Manchester covering both residential and commercial developments.


As a Development Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering similar projects, you will be given full responsibility for projects from day one and will be expected to work autonomously.


Novo’s expectations are for exacting standards, excellent communication, problem-solving and deep industry knowledge.  We seek a senior Development Manager to successfully deliver complex projects in line with these standards and who takes pride in doing so. 


This is an ideal opportunity for anyone currently working in development management but would also suit those experienced in project management, QS/EA roles or equivalent and are looking to move to the client side.


Requirements:

You should have a commercial approach to decision-making, faultless attention to detail and excellent communication skills.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate deep industry knowledge and contacts throughout the supply chain as well as a portfolio of previously completed projects.  Above all, you must fit well into the existing team at Novo and be willing to turn your hand to whatever task is needed to get the job done.  You will bring a strong sense of personal responsibility to your work and act as a role model and source of expertise for more junior team members.  In return, you will be granted high levels of autonomy, an excellent working environment and attractive compensation package.


Tasks will include:

Preparing and maintaining a project’s development strategy throughout its life-cycle (from planning to construction to sales). Fielding all queries from the project team, client and other stakeholders, managing tenders, ongoing value engineering, leading / participating in project team meetings, and holding team members accountable. Maintaining project budgets and client reporting in conjunction with the commercial manager. Preparing and maintaining project timelines, communicating progress to the broader management team, representing Novo at external and community events.


Experience:

Competitive compensation package will be offered dependent on experience (minimum 5 years)  Industry applicable qualifications are preferred, but not requisite
